Hotel Donatello – A Favorite for Families in Florence

Hotel Donatello is set in a renovated 19th-century building with rooms that have distinctive Florentine-style decor. Some rooms offer frescoed ceilings, and all include marble bathrooms. Room types range from single to triple rooms, with some offering two-floor layouts.

The hotel serves a buffet breakfast in a bright dining room and, weather permitting, in the courtyard garden. The breakfast includes gluten-free options, and staff provides table service for coffee and hot chocolate. A small lounge bar and snack bar are available for guests throughout the day.

Hotel Donatello offers luggage storage, valet parking, and a 24-hour front desk with currency exchange. The property has facilities for disabled guests, including emergency cords in bathrooms, raised toilets, and grab rails. Staff speaks multiple languages and provides tour desk services and bicycle rental.

The hotel welcomes children and offers babysitting and child services upon request. Pets are allowed, and pet bowls are provided. Family rooms are available, and the hotel has a designated smoking area and allergy-free rooms.

Hotel Donatello sits in a quiet residential area opposite a public park, a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Accademia Gallery, and Fortezza da Basso Exhibition Centre are all within walking distance. Private parking is available inside the hotel garden, including accessible parking spaces.
